Zoppe Italian Circus - Chandler, Arizona

Looking for something fun to do with the family👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 this weekend?

The Zoppé family traces its history from humble beginnings of street clowns and jugglers through six generations of circus performers. Held in the spectacular 500 seat tent on the grounds of the Chandler Center for the Arts, bring your friends and family for this delightfully fun circus extravaganza!

The Zoppé Family Circus has an amazing, unique story. The Zoppé Family Circus emerged more than 160 years ago to become one of the legendary circuses in all of Europe. And like many good legends, it begins with a boy and a girl falling in love. In 1842, a young French street performer named Napoline Zoppé wandered into a plaza in Budapest, Hungary, looking for work. There, his eyes glanced upon a beautiful equestrian ballerina named Ermenegilda, who captured the hearts and minds of the crowd with her grace and showmanship. More importantly, this talented beauty captured Napoline’s heart.

However, since Napoline was a clown, Ermenegilda’s father saw him as beneath her and disapproved of their relationship. The two ran away to Venice, Italy, and founded the circus that still bears their name. Alberto Zoppé, Napoline’s great-grandson, inherited the circus almost 100 years later.

Alberto’s children, Giovanni, Tosca and Carla, along with their spouses, have all been active at one time or another in the family business. Giovanni revived the Zoppé Family Circus in America eight years ago, and has since been building its reputation with audiences and critics as an enchanting exhibition of traditional European circus.

The Zoppé Family Circus is a once-a-year event not to be missed, so get your tickets early!

9 Tips for Developing Better Habits

More than half of adults make New Year's resolutions each year. Unfortunately, many give up after a few weeks because they haven't turned their goals into habits. Whether you want to lose weight, save for a home or eat more vegetables, adopting good habits is sure to help you reach your goals. Here are a few tips to help keep you on track this year.

Why do you want to adopt the habit? How will your life improve once you develop this habit? What will happen if you don't? These three questions will help you streamline your goal and maintain motivation when you need it the most. If you're a visual person, write down your answers and post them where you'll read them daily.

Lasting habits take time to develop. Start by setting small goals that will eventually lead you to accomplishing your end result. By focusing on manageable changes at the beginning of your transformation, habits are more likely to become automatic.

It's easy to fall off track when you're in the process of adopting a new habit. Consistency is key, and setting a reminder will help you build good habits.

If you want to kick a bad habit, it helps to replace it with a better one. Trying to quit eating sugary snacks? Keep carrot sticks or nuts nearby so when the urge to snack hits, you're less tempted to reach for candy or other sugary treats.

Tell people about the habit you're trying to adopt. The more people you tell, the more accountable you'll feel. And who knows? They may even become inspired to adopt a new habit themselves.

Changes don't happen overnight - they happen over several weeks and months of consistent action. Remember that achieving results only comes when you create consistency.

Studies show that it takes 30 days to form a habit. Stay committed to your habit for a full 30 days. If it hasn't become automatic by then try to pinpoint the challenges you're experiencing so you can try again.

Although you may feel motivated to revamp your life and change several habits at once, doing so may prevent you from adopting any of them. Focus on one good habit at a time. Once it becomes routine, take on another new habit.

A small reward will keep you motivated, especially on days when it's tough to stay on track. Think about how you'll reward yourself ahead of time so you have something to look forward to.

Arizona Property Taxes

What You Need To Know About Arizona Property Taxes

So your are researching if Arizona is a great place to purchase your next home. We have great weather, affordable housing and a long list of outdoor activities and entertainment available. There is one other reason why you want to consider Arizona, property taxes.

Arizona ranks 7th lowest state for property taxes in the nation. The effective property tax rate in Arizona is 0.87 so that means if your home is worth $100,000 your property taxes would be $870. The national average tax rate would mean the same $100,000 would bring the property tax amount to $1,190!

Arizona residents are taxed based on Assessed Value, NOT Market Value. You can View A sample Arizona Property Tax Bill Here.
